FF Charles Denues relinquishes his "T"

Firefighters Ken Izzo and Jerry Gomes and Captain Guy Denues look on as Asst. Chief Jaci Viskochil removes the "green T" from Charles Denues' Helmet. The green T identifies firefighter trainees on the fireground. Charles has satisfied all his training and probation requirements in order to warrant the removal of the T.

Loma Prieta Volunteer Fire and Rescue continues to staff station during 911 outage

Firefighters have been staffing Loma Prieta Fire Station since this morning as a preventative measure due to the telecommunications breakdown. We will continue to staff until the situation is rectified.

Citizens unable to contact the 911 system directly should go to any public safety facility or flag down law enforcement as necessary.

On the Summit, three fire stations are staffed:

Santa Clara County Fire, Redwood Station at 21452 Madrone Dr. in Redwood Estates

Cal Fire, Burrell Station at 25050 Highland Way 353-1022

Loma Prieta, Station 36 at 17445 Old Summit Road 353-2539
(temporary staffing during this event)
