A SIGNIFICANT STORM EVENT APPEARS TO BE SETTING UP EARLY NEXT
WEEK AND IS EXPECTED TO IMPACT THE FORECAST AREA OVER THE
CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY. SINCE THE ONSET OF THIS WEATHER EVENT IS STILL
FOUR DAYS AWAY...THERE IS SOME FORECAST UNCERTAINTY REGARDING THE
STRENGTH AND TIMING OF THIS STORM SYSTEM. HOWEVER...THERE IS
INCREASING CONFIDENCE THAT A PERIOD OF WET AND WINDY WEATHER WILL
DEVELOP. IF THIS STORM EVENT OCCURS THERE WOULD BE A THREAT OF
URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING...AS WELL AS MUD SLIDES AND DEBRIS
FLOWS OVER BURN SCARRED AREAS FROM THIS PAST SUMMER`S FIRES.
PERSONS IN MONTEREY AND SANTA CRUZ COUNTIES WHO ARE NEAR THE BURN
AREAS SHOULD PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THIS DEVELOPING SITUATION
SINCE IT APPEARS THAT HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE IN BOTH
AREAS.

Wt3651 Driver side #2 lower compartment
Current state of compartment. Lower section contains honda wt-20 trash pump and soft suction filler hose. Upper section contains 50' of 1-3/4 and safety reflectors, there is room for extras. The pump is a tight fit and may need additional magic to get it just right.
Passenger Side #1 compartment
Current disposition of compartment: Exhaust Fan, portable pump, 1000k portable light, chock block. Once brackets are designed and manufactured the compartment will house the wt-30 trash pump in place of the exhaust fan.
Passenger Side rear compartment
This compartment is a mess right now. It has 4 Salvage covers, a tarp, floating strainer, bottom strainer, utility rope and 3 wildland hose packs. A method for better organization is needed. Moving soft gear behind the axles and moving the pumps foward will reduce wear and tear.
Passenger Side #1 compartment
These are the two pumps we would like to carry in this compartment. The small portable and the wt-30. Extra space can accomodate fuel. Brackets need to be designed and manufactured.

Special Weather Statement
Cool and showery weather starting this weekend and continuing
into the middle of next week...
On Saturday a cold trough of low pressure will set up over the
West Coast. This will bring much cooler daytime temperatures along
with breezy conditions late tonight into Saturday and the chance of
showers Saturday through Sunday. The forecast for this weekend calls
for daytime highs from the upper 40s to mid 50s on Saturday and even
cooler on Sunday. Snow levels may lower to as low as 2000 feet on
Sunday and possibly as low as 1500 feet by Monday. Roads in the
mountain areas could be affected by snow... such as the Santa Cruz
Mountains and the North Bay hills.
The cold and showery pattern will continue into the middle of next
week... with snow possible in the hills across the district.
Persons who are planning on traveling this weekend and next week
should pay attention to the latest forecasts as wintry travel weather
can be expected particularly over the Sierra mountain passes. In
addition... persons near the burn areas in Monterey and Santa Cruz
counties should also continue to closely monitor the latest forecasts
in the event that rainfall projections end up higher than currently
anticipated.
